Juan Monaco to face Rafael Nadal in ATP Buenos Aires

Juan Monaco coasted to a 6-1 6-3 victory over Marco Cecchinati on his return from injury to set up an Argentina Open clash with Rafael Nadal in Buenos Aires.
The 2007 champion, who had not played since August following a wrist injury, needed just over an hour to set up a repeat of last year's final while cashing in on four of his five break points.
Fifth seed Dominc Thiem also progressed with a 6-0 3-6 6-3 win over Pablo Carreno Busta but the sixth-seeded Fabio Fognini crashed out following a 6-7 (7/4) 6-4 6-4 defeat to Federico Delbonis.

Thiem faces Portuguese qualifier Gaston Elias in the next round after he overcame Daniel Munoz de la Nava 4-6 6-4 6-1.
Paolo Lorenzi secured a 2-6 7-5 6-2 win over Pablo Andujar, while number eight seed Pablo Cuevas beat Albert Ramos-Vinolas 7-5 6-2.
Renzo Olivo edged Facundo Bagnis 7-6 (11/9) 7-5 and Serbia's Dusan Lajovic saw off Argentina's Facundo Arguello 7-6 (9/7) 6-3.
