Klizan Beats Baghdatis to Reach Quarters

Sometimes nothing seems to can go right and Marcos Baghdatis knows all about it. The 30-year-old Cypriot was eliminated in two sets on Thursday in the second round of the ABN AMRO World Tennis Tournament. Martin Klizan eliminated him in a 69 minute match: 6-3, 6-2.
“The start was difficult”, the 26-year-old Slovakian said. Klizan already won three ATP titles. “We both lost our first service game, but I’m happy I was able to keep my games after that.”
Klizan will play Roberto Bautista Agut on Friday. During the Australian Open earlier this year, the Slovak was defeated in five sets by the Spaniard.
The left-handed Klizan managed to reach the quarter finals in Rotterdam Ahoy in 2013, but a foot injury forced him to retire.
