American Sam Querrey saw off compatriot Rajeev Ram to win the Delray Beach Open on Sunday.
The 28-year-old, appearing in his first ATP Tour final since Nottingham last summer, triumphed 6-4 7-6 (8/6) in one hour and 25 minutes.
It was the culmination of a fine week for Querrey, who had ended Juan Martin Del Potro's latest comeback with a straight-sets semi-final win.
Meanwhile Ram, who had upset fourth seed Grigor Dimitrov in the last four, fell to his first defeat in three career main tour finals.
