Venus Williams Reaches Semifinals in WTA Taiwan

The number one seed in Taiwan would have sufficed for one hour and twelve minutes to get rid of Sevastova. Williams based his victory in the effectiveness of his first serve, with 66% of earned point on his first serve.
The twelfth-ranked WTA semifinals will face Kazakhstan Yulia Putintseva, who has won in its confrontation with the Swiss Stefanie Voegele after the withdrawal of the Swiss in the second set.
The number two draw of the tournament, Japan's Misaki Doi, went to the semifinals without having to play their game because of the withdrawal of his compatriot Kuzumi Nara.
