The 22-year old Vesely managed to defeat his compatriot in a 74-minute match on the Rotterdam Ahoy centre court: 6-4, 6-2.Vesely broke his opponent already in the first game of the match and ended up winning the first set without much trouble. In the second, the number 51st of the world cruised to victory.
He will play Roberto Bautista Agut or João Souse in the second round. The Spaniard and the Portugese meet on Tuesday.
