Cilic Beats Muller in ATP Rotterdam

Marin Cilic is getting closer and closer to his top form at the 43rd ABN AMRO World Tennis Tournament. The highest seeded player in Rotterdam Ahoy needed two tiebreaks to defeat Luxembourger Gilles Muller
on Wednesday: 7-6 (2), 7- 6 (7).
“As I expected, the difference between us was small,” the 27-year old Cilic said. The Croatian is assisted by his coach, Goran Ivanisevic, this week. Ivanisevic won the tournament in 1996.
“I did not give Muller a single break point and that gives me a lot confidence. In the final tiebreak, I think, I was the luckiest of the both of us. Mentally, I feel strong.”

Cilic will play Philipp Kohlschreiber in the quarter final. The 32-year-old German was the first player to reach the final eight. He beat Croatian qualifier Ivan Dodig in 69 minutes: 6-4, 6-2.
In 2007 and 2014 Kohlschreiber reached the quarters in Rotterdam Ahoy as well. It’s Kohlschreiber's eight appearance in Rotterdam.
