In-form Roberto Bautista Agust beat João Souusa 7-6(4), 1-6,
6-3 in the first round of the ABN AMRO World Tennis Tournament to claim his 13th victory of 2016.
The Spaniard (27) had a tough time on the Rotterdam Ahoy centre court on Wednesday. He needed three sets against the Portuguese 7-6(4), 1-6, 6-3.
Bautista Agut travelled to Rotterdam this weekend after taking the title in Sofia. Earlier this year he already triumphed in Auckland, New Zealand.
The number 17 of the world will face Jiri Vesely from the Czech Republic in the second round.
